KB 387007 - Silverstone Rackmount Workstation Assembly

Hardware installation

  1. Unboxing Rackmount Workstation
      
      
  1. Open the Cover by Removing screws from both sides
      
  1. Remove Top Cover 
      
  1. Loosen the HDD cage screws and remove the HDD cage.
      
  1. Loosen the fan bracket screws and remove the fan bracket.
      
  1. Fix the 80mm fan into the bracket and secure the Fan bracket to its original position
      
      
  1. Fix the motherboard mounting screws and I/O shield onto the chassis.
      
      
  1. The next step is to prepare the motherboard. Unbox the motherboard.
      
  1. Insert the processor into the CPU socket
      
  1. Fix the CPU Cooler (apply heatsink grease on CPU before fixing the CPU cooler).
      
      
  1. Install the Nvme SSD into the available M.2 slot
      
  1. Insert the memories in to the DIMM slots.
      
  1. Install the motherboard onto the workstation case
      
  1. Install the Redundant PSU into the case and secure it with the screws
      
      
      
  1. Install the HDD into the hard disk cage, and secure the HDD cage to its original position
      
      
  1. Connect the power and I/O cables to the motherboard and other components.
      
  1. Organize and manage the excess cable properly
      
  1. Fix the rack handles to the case.
      
      
  1. Close the Top cover and secure with the screw
      
  1. Connect the power cables, turn on the workstation, and run the POST test.
      
      
  1. Pack the device after testing
