Steps to Follow
- Unpack the Server, It is a heavy server, so always take precautions to avoid damage and, if necessary, seek assistance from others when lifting or moving the server.
- The server is divided into two rows, with the top row fully integrated with H100 GPUs and the second row housing the motherboard and other accessories.
- Remove the screws from the side cover, then release and pull the handle to remove the GPU and Motherboard rows from the server chassis.
- Carefully remove the second row by pulling the side handles. the second row has two layer of PCBs one is dedicated for PCIe expansion and the second one is Mainboard.
- Remove the four of PCIe expansion card brackets and the top layer PCB unlocking the locks( marked with Red Arrow) to get access to the Main board layer.
- Remove the CPU airduct from the bottom layer to gain access to the Motherboard, for to install CPUs and memories.
- Locate the CPU slots and carefully install the CPU on the CPU holder
- Remove CPU Socket cover from the motherboard.
- Properly fix the CPUs one by one
- Place the CPU cooler and secure with tighten the screws.
- Install the memories into the slots one at a time, pressing both edges at simultaneously
- Place the air ducts back to its position and secure with the screws
- To install mellenox card adaptor, remove the PCIE brackets from the motherboard .
- unlock the slot shield .
- Place the cards into the PCIe slots.
- Place the bracket back to its original position.
- Once the motherboard assembly completes, place the top side PCB back to its original position and secure it with the locks.
- Next is to install network cards into the top layer PCIe expansion Bracket, Remove the brackets from the top layer PCB and find the PCIe slots.
- Place the PCIe adaptors into the brackets on by one and secure it with the locks.
- Place the brackets back to its original position.
- Secure the brackets with the screws.
- Insert the rows one by one back to the server Chassis by sliding carefully, secure it with its screws.
- Prepare the 2.5 inch SSD trays and the bundled screws for to fix the SSDs,
- Place the 2.5inch storage device into the tray and secure it with 4 Screws
- Insert the SSD trays into the server and Turn on the system.
- It will take 20 minutes for this server to boot up. After initializing, ensure that all peripherals are detected.
- It is necessary to check the BIOS and Firmware Versions, and if new versions are available, flash those with the new versions.
