MSI All-in-One (AIO) PC – Physical Damage Policy for Warranty Claims
MSI's standard warranty does not cover physical or accidental damage to an All-in-One (AIO) PC. If the damage is determined to be caused by external factors rather than a manufacturing defect, the warranty claim may be rejected
Physical Damage Examples Typically Not Covered
- Cracked or broken LCD/display panel
- Dented chassis or housing
- Damage caused by drops, impacts, or falls
- Liquid spills or moisture damage
- Broken ports, connectors, or hinges due to misuse
MSI states that warranty service does not apply when a product is damaged due to:
- Accidents or misuse
- Improper handling or maintenance
- External causes such as falls, power issues, or environmental conditions
- Unauthorized repairs or modifications
- Normal wear and tear
If Physical Damage Is Found
- MSI service centers may classify the issue as Customer-Induced Damage (CID).
- The device can still be repaired, but it will generally be treated as a paid repair rather than a warranty repair.
- A repair quotation may be provided before work begins.
Exception
If the issue is proven to be a manufacturing defect and there is no evidence of accidental or physical damage, the repair may be covered under the standard warranty terms.
