Initializing ASUSTOR NAS is easy to accomplish in Few steps.

Finding ASUSTOR NAS and Updating ADM
Download and install ASUSTOR Control Center from website.
The
installation wizard will install
ASUSTOR Control Center onto your computer. After ASUSTOR
Control Center has been installed, it will automatically begin to scan your network
for ASUSTOR NAS devices.
To begin initializing the NAS, click the Uninitialized status bar.
Once you click the initialization bar, you will be prompted and taken to a new window where you can update ADM.
Click next to go to the ADM UPDATE page, where you'll be able to install and update ASUSTOR OS. From this point, select the update option for live updates and click next.
The ADM
update will begin shortly and will be restarted once the update is complete.
Initializing the NAS
If you
already know your NAS’s current IP address, you can open up a web browser and
enter in your NAS’s IP address (for example:
http://192.168.1.168:8000) to begin initialization.
From the first window, choose the installation method and appearance; this window will provide you two options for configuring the NAS.
- One click setup- System itself select the suitable raid, Easy
setup
- Custom Setup- User defined
Following the
next window, set date and time
Next, set the
IPA settings
From the next page, in One Click Setup Mode, the setup will allow you to set the Administrator details and RAID (NAS Will select the suitable Raid Configuration) settings in one window. In manual mode, the setup will prompt you with a new window.
Click initialization to start initializing the NAS
Once the
initialization complete, the system redirects to the Login Page.
Please follow
the instructions from the installation wizard to complete
the configuration process.
Log in with your Admin credentials to start using your ASUSTOR NAS.
