How to configure EdgeCore Switch and Access point (Basic Configurations)
The Edge core ECS4125-10P switch is
a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet access switch with two 10G uplink ports. The switch is
an ideal 2.5 Gigabit PoE access switch for SMB, enterprise, and campus
networks. The ECS4125-10P switch is packed with features that bring high
availability, comprehensive security, robust multicast control, and advance QoS
to the network edge, while maintaining simple management.
- The default
IP address for the switch is 192.168.2.10
- Default Username: admin
- Default Password: admin
- Once logged in, can see the dashboard as below.
- Change the
preferred Ip address in in the “Menu.”
Indoor Access Point (EAP104)
The EAP104 is an enterprise-grade,
concurrent dual-band Wi-Fi 6 indoor wall-plate access point for hospitality,
apartment buildings, or MDUs. The EAP104 supports 2×2:2 uplink and downlink
MU-MIMO between the AP and multiple clients, with up to 3 Gbps aggregated data
rate. The EAP104 is equipped with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) radio and ZigBee,
enabling value-added applications such as iBeacon. The EAP104 can be operated
in a standalone mode or managed by Edge Core ecCLOUD, ecCLOUD-VPC, or an
EWS-Series controller.
Outdoor Access Point (OAP 100e)
Edge Core OAP100e is an enterprise-grade, concurrent dual-band
802.11ac wave 2 outdoor access point, designed specifically to withstand harsh
weather conditions by IP68 rated, rust resistant plastic housing in outdoor and
industrial environments. The OAP100e features 2×2:2 MU-MIMO radio that can each
transmit data to multiple clients simultaneously, and together have a combined
data rate of up to 1.2 Gbps.
- Connect
a PC directly to one of the AP’s LAN ports.
- Set the PC IP address to be on the same subnet
as the AP LAN port default IP address. (The PC address must start 192.168.2.x
with subnet mask 255.255.255.0)
- Enter the AP’s default IP address of 192.168.2.1
into the web browser address bar.
- On first-time log in to the web interface, the
Setup Wizard starts, and you must select how the AP will be managed, either
using the ecCLOUD controller, an EWS-Series controller, or in stand-alone mode.
- Cloud-Managed Mode: Select the country.
- Click “done”
