KB 461110 - Create VM on Proxmox.

Steps to create VM.


  1. Login to Proxmox account with credentials.
  2. In home screen Top Right click on "create VM".


  1. Here create: Virtual Machine wizard is appear.
  2. Select the server in which you want to create VM.
  3. VM ID is auto-generated.
  4. Provide any name of VM.
  5. Click on Next.


  1. Here select ISO which you want to boot.


  1. Select the location where ISO is stored.


  1. Select ISO Image.


  1. Select OS type, whatever it is Linux, Windows and so on. 


  1. Select Kernel Version.


  1. Click on Next.


  1. Select as needed else keep default, and click on Next.


  1. Configure Disk.


  1. Select Bus Interface.


  1. Select Storage.


  1. Define storage capacity.


  1. Define number of processor. 


  1. Define RAM.


  1. Define network interface.


  1. Review all the configuration and click Finish.


  1. Newly created VM will appear in few seconds in left pane.

  1. Double click on VM, it is ready to Boot.
