Update BMC & BIOS Of  ASUS Servers 


Update BMC ( Baseboard Management Controller )


  1. Download and extract the BMC File in the system to map the firm ware update file.

    1. For 4 u server
    2. For 12 U server 
  2. Power on the server and get into BIOS. 

  3. Get BMI IP address from BIOS (BIOS> Management>BMC Network configuration) 

  4. Connect the server remotely by entering the IP address through Browser from a system that is connected in the same LAN

  5. Get BMI IP address from BIOS (BIOS> Management>BMC Network configuration) 

  6. Connect the server remotely by entering the IP address through Browser from a system that is connected in the same LAN

  7. Access to ASUS KVM and create, submit a new password in the dialog box.



  8. Create a username and enter created password and click sign me in to get in to KVM. 

     
  9. After getting access to KVM, go to maintenance and select firmware update to update BMC of the server.

  10. Click on choose File. 


  11. Open the folder that is extracted.

  12. Select and open. ima extension file (ASMB11_FW1139_RS00A_E12_RS12U>Rs500A-E12-RS4U-ASUS-1.139>Image>50241139.ima).

  13. Click on start Firmware update.
     

  14. Scroll down and click proceed to flash.

  15. Wait for some time and their will be Flash selected sections tab click on it.  

  16. After BMC updating, system will restart.  Logout from the present KVM page and logIn to new session after the system restart. 


BIOS Update

  1. From KVM dashboard select power control> power off > perform Action> ok 

      

  2. From Dash board select Force BIOS update. 

  3. Select choose File. 

      

  4. open extracted PA-U24-ASUS-1101 Fille.

  5. select and open k14PA-U24-ASUS-1101CAP file.

  6. select start BIOS Update. 

  7. select Start Flash. 


Check the versions from Dashboard

  1. Go to Dashboard and check the firmware versions are updated.
