Video Wall Solution for Windows
Issue
Windows PCs at the experience center stops playing videos after a reboot or if a customer accesses the demo through remote desktop. Videos should autoplay on loop regardless of current state.
Solution
This issue can be solved by setting the desired video as a windows screensaver.
Video Screensaver by metasquares is an open-source solution that works for all video formats. It is licensed under the GNU General Public License version 3.0 (GPLv3).
- Download and extract the zip file from the link above.
- Right click and install the VideoScreensaver.scr file.
- From the Screen Saver settings dialog, click on Settings:

- Choose the desired video and apply the screensaver.
- You may also change the wait period as desired.
- From the power settings, ensure the screen off and sleep delay settings are set to never.
Now the screensaver will start playing videos on loop, after reboot and during remote desktop access.
