1. Purpose
To reseat two 10G dual-port PCIe NIC cards
in an ASUS server to restore proper detection, link stability, or performance.

4. Prerequisites
- Approved change window

6. Pre-Change Checks
1. Verify server hostname, serial number,
and rack location
2. Confirm installed 10G dual-port PCIe NICs
3. Capture NIC status from OS
4. Gracefully shut down applications
5. Power off server and disconnect power and network cables
7. Detailed Procedure
1. Ensure server is powered off and
disconnected from power
2. Wear anti-static wrist strap
3. Open server chassis
4. Remove PCIe NIC cards carefully
5. Inspect cards and PCIe slots
6. Reseat NIC cards firmly
7. Secure cards and close chassis
8. Reconnect cables and power on server
8. Post-Change Validation
- Verify NIC detection in BIOS
- Confirm NIC visibility in OS
- Validate link status and speed (10Gbps)
