How to send AutoSupport Dispatch on a NetApp Device via SANtricity System Manager

Purpose

This purpose of this article is to provide detailed instructions on how to manually trigger and send an AutoSupport dispatch from a NetApp E-Series or EF-Series storage System using SANtricity System Manager.
AutoSupport is a NetApp feature that automatically collects configuration, diagnostic, and performance information from the storage array and sends it to NetApp Support
Manually triggering an AutoSupport dispatch ensures that NetApp receives the latest system data for faster issue diagnosis and case resolution when requested by Support.

Applies To:

  1. NetApp E-Series or EF-Series storage systems
  2. Systems managed via SANtricity System Manager (FW version 11.60 and later)

Steps to send AutoSupport Dispatch via SANtricity System Manager

Step 1: Log in to SANtricity System Manager

  1. Open a web browser and access the SANtricity System Manager
  2. Log in using your administrator credentials

Step 2: Navigate to the AutoSupport Settings

  1. From the left menu, go to Support
  2. Click on Support Center 
  3. Go to AutoSupport tab

Step 3: Send Auto Support Dispatch

  1. Inside AutoSupport tab, Under AutoSupport Operations, you can see an option - send AutoSupport Dispatch
  2. Click on send AutoSupport Dispatch option
  3. Click Send
  4. After that you could see a pop up saying AutoSupport Dispatch Sent
