How to Configure EnGenius Access points, FIT Controller, FIT Xpress, Cloud Deployment
EnGenius FIT Access point, FIT Controller, FIT XPress

EnGenius Fit Controller is a modern on-premises management platform, where EnGenius wireless/wired network devices can be managed thru a state-of-the-art visualized GUI with AI and serverless-technology features. Accessing FITCON through Web GUI:
- Connect FITCON controller port LAN2 to the
Laptop with LAN cable and ensure the laptop IP is in same subnet as controller.
Open Browser and enter the default IP address (http://192.168.1.250:8080) on the address
tab and try to access the FITCON through web GUI.
IP address to static and assigning the IP address.
After the controller access in web GUI, go to “Settings” and in IP settings change Dynamic to static and assign the IP address.
EnGenius FIT Access point Configuration:
The EnGenius Fit Managed wireless access point is a business-class device that provides secure and reliable high performance while reducing capital and operating expenses for cost-conscious small businesses. With support for the latest 802.11ax technology, this access point is capable of delivering maximum speeds. Additionally, it features an easy-to-use web interface for cloud or on-premises management options based on network architecture, administrative permissions, and technical aptitude.
There are two access points that we are added in the FIT
controller for control and managing it. The process is to access the access
point with default Ip address as mentioned in below table. After the access,
changing the IP in static and assigning an IP Address to it.

- Select “Network” and then “Basic” and select “static
IP” option to assign the IP address, Subnet mask as per your network and save
Adding Access point to FIT Controller:
The Process is to add the Access points that are configured
to add in the FIT controller with serial numbers. By adding the Access points
to the FIT controller, we can control and access the access point from the FIT
Controller.
- Login in into the FITCOn controller using the IP
Address through web GUI.
- Once the FIT controller is accessed, it will be
empty, and dashboard will look as below picture.
- Clocks manage “Manage” as shown in below image and click “Access point” to add the access points one by one.
- From the System to ad access points to
inventory, By Click “System” and then Click “Inventory.”
- Select “+Register device “option.
- Adding the serial number for both Access point and switch manually and click “Register” to complete the registration of the devices that you wish you control through the FIT con.
- Now assign the registered Access point to the
network with following below steps.
- Once the Access point is registered, you can see
as above.
- From here click “check box” tick and click
“Assign to network.”
Add it to the same network, these networks will
be created during the controller registration and configuration.

FIT Controller to FIT Xpress for Cloud Access:
- Creating a EnGenius FIT Xpress Account, there are Web portal and Applications to access the FIT Xpress.
- Sign in to EnGenius Cloud: Sign-in | FitXpress (engenius.ai)
- Login to cloud account
- Select Devices in the left side, and then click “+” to add the FIT Controller in to the inventory.
- In the Screen pop-up as shown in the below image, select “Add Device” to add the FIT Controller
- In the empty space, add the serial number of the FIT Controller and then click “Next”
- After adding the FIT controller, the Fit Controller button will be added automatically in the left side bottom.
- Click “FIT Controller” that we added.
- Now we can see the FitController that we added in cloud, now we can access and control the FitController from the FitXpress cloud from anywhere.
Note: Can only choose one management option (FitXpress or FitController) at a time. Once your Fit devices are being managed by one management option, but you decide you want to move to another one, you will have to perform a factory reset.
