Configure Date & Time on ASUS HGX Servers via ASMB11-iKVM (BMC)
Purpose
This article explains how to configure and synchronize the Date & Time on ASUS HGX servers using the ASMB11‑iKVM (BMC) interface. This ensures that all HGX servers synchronize their time with the NTP servers configured on Head Node 1 and Head Node 2.
Scope
ASUS HGX servers
Prerequisites
BMC IP address reachable from the management network
Admin credentials
Primary and secondary NTP server IPs (configured on Head Node 1 and Head Node 2)
Procedure
Step 1: Log in to BMC
Open a browser and navigate to the BMC IP address of the HGX server.
Log in using administrator credentials.
Step 2: Navigate to Date & Time Settings
From the left navigation pane, click Settings.
Select Date & Time from the settings menu.
Step 3: Configure Time Zone and NTP Servers
Scroll down and select the appropriate Time Zone (example:
Asia/Dubai).Enable Automatic NTP Date & Time and Configure the NTP servers as follows:
Primary NTP Server: IP address of Head Node 1
Secondary NTP Server: IP address of Head Node 2
Click Save.
Step 4: Post Configuration
When prompted that the session will close, click OK to proceed.
Close the browser session as instructed.
Step 5: Reconnect and Verify
Reopen a new browser session.
Log back in to the BMC.
Navigate to Settings --> Date & Time.
Verify:
Time zone is correct
NTP is enabled
Time is synchronized correctly
