Hi,

We have bought 3 units of PNY RTX A6000 Graphic Card with your company. As discuss today morning , it is give some problem

As it has glitch and sometime hangs

Currently , all these 3 cards are place in super PC with 256GB memory and Asus X299 sage 10 motherboard

With extra cooler and fans And a High End Casing Corsair 1000D for Air flow

Customer has live events , where he want to use RTX A6000 for multi Display  , 4K resolution 60HZ screens

Currently has 8-10 display , which he is projecting for Live performance stage show.

For his work he is using this software :   https://resolume.com/download/

Please check the below screen shot for the driver version which is install.

This card hangs / freeze for few seconds if and 4K video is played.

KINDLY FIND OUT SOME SOLUTION.

As customer has not able to use this even once.

Solutions:

Below are observation related to provided screen by the customer.

  1. If I see this correctly, the customer does not use a Sync II board. A video wall with the 3x A6000 is realized, without a Sync II card there may be jerks.
  2. I would like to check the GPU utilization. To do this open the Nvidia control panel . Now on the left side under “Workstation” on „Manage GPU Utilization“ and in the right window on „GPU-Utilization Graph.  Click on the new window “Nvidia GPU Utilization” with “Always on top” and then start the applications again and see how much the RTX 6000 is used.
  3. Please share above observation and the error.
  4. What does the software vendor say about this?

Q’s from Technical Team:

1       who has built this system?

2       What level of troubleshooting did you System engineer perform?

3       Do you have any additional information such as CPU utilization, system temperature and other debug stuffs you can provide to help reduce the time to resolve here?

 Observations after receiving RMA unit:

The GPU card tested with multiple stress tests using PC doctor and Furmark (with 10240-2880 resolution). Both tests are completed successfully. Did not find hanging or slowing down throughout the testing.

Test Reports are attached below for Your Reference.

1- PC Doctor - Running time 3 Hours
2- Furmark - 2 hours

1)      The issue that customer is facing is because of absence of Sync II adapter.

2)      You can confirm this by swapping existing GPU card with the returned card.

3)      Technically, the returned unit is not faulty.

Finally, resolution to place Sync adapter and can connect upto 4 GPUs with one sync card
